Requirements for Coaches

 
»    Volunteer form (must be completed annually) 

»    Coach Certification (one-time class)

»    Safe Haven complete (one-time online class)

»    CDC concussion training (one-time online class)

»    Team Meeting completed with Division Director

Coach, Referee, and Goalie Courses available.  Please sign up, prior to attending, on the AYSOU link (also found under the resources tab).

Courses have been entered in AYSOU and can registering for the course through that system.

Required Volunteer Forms

Volunteer Form - Must be completed before Safe Haven and CDC Training

     1.  Log into the ayso154.org account using the same log in information used during the registration of your child(ren).
     2.  On the left hand side, click on the volunteer option.
     3.  Complete a volunteer form for the position you are volunteering for (assistant coach, team parent, referee, etc.)
     4.  Make sure to e-sign and submit the form.

Save Haven and Concussion Training (CDC)

How To Log In to AYSO-U:
     1.  Log into the ayso154.org account using the same log in information used during the registration of your child(ren).
     2.  Under the Resources tab, click on the first option - AYSO-U.  This will direct you to the AYSO-U log in page.
     3.  If not automatically logged in, log into AYSO-U using the same log in you used in ayso154.org (aka Blue Sombrero).
     4.  Once in AYSO-U, go to My Courses (tab along the top of the page).
     5.  Click on the open button and complete your required training.

Using a Voucher Code to take online Coach Course

  1. Go to www.AYSOU.org and Log in using your Blue Sombrero credentials.
  2. Under eCommerce click on Products.
  3.  Scroll down until you see either the 8U Coaching Training Course or the 10U course (your choice) or the Basic Referee course
  4. Click see details, then click on Buy Now.  
  5. Input your information and then use the voucher code (ask your division director if you have not received a voucher code)
  6. The class should then appear within your Courses tab.

Provided Coach Training

Coach Certification
AYSO provides coaches and referees with on-line, field, and webinar training which can be found on AYSOU under the resources tab.  An online course which covers team management, safety, volunteer protection, and AYSO's principles.  Field training which covers soccer techniques, strategies, and teaching ideas appropriate to the age group.  These clinics are typically provided on a weekend, and vary from a half day to two days, depending on the age group of the team you are coaching and the level of certification you are seeking.

To enroll in a coach course, please click on the AYSOU link located within the Resources tab.  A tutorial on how to register for the course within AYSOU is located within the Resources tab.
